2/27/21There is supposed to be another bottom half to this jacket, but I think I like this bomber style length better. I2/24/21In the process of making a prop for a photo idea. Only one million more yarn to cut. Making my own rainbow. Make It 2/15/22How much pleather can you put on a person. Apparently, a lot. And the rest of the garments have their final fabric picked out. There is no making mistakes on the pants because once I puncture the needle through, there is no taking it apart without ruining it. No pressure. 1/28/22 Started making the protos in final fabric. The biggest challenge has been finding the fabric in the right colors. But we won’t let that stop me now. in the studio 1/16/22I really liked this romantic sweater pattern from Ravelry. Most sweaters I knit make me look boxy and bulky, but this is one of the more flattering silhouettes for my body type. Of course the lighter yarn weight helps too. I placed a 1930’s glass button on it to finish the look. I would love to make it in other colors as well. 1/3/22 I found this oil spill on my street that looked like a lady wearing a dress. I wanted to wear it too. Just my size. 1/3/22 Playing around in Photoshop and this one reminded me of how choosing to find something pretty in a situation where you had zero choices is all I had. 12/31/21Working on a collage of all the ways that could have been since leaving the orphanage. All the parallel universes colliding together. (work in progress) 12/29/21I turned the third quilted puffer skirt I owned into a deconstructed crop jacket with thumbholes. The down side of sewing material with batting is that it does not serge well, the seam allowances are thick and bulky. It also makes a popping sound when you sew which scares me because I recently had a needle go through my thumb, and it made a similar sound. No matter what though, I will always be a sucker for puffer/quilted anything.
